Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony 10th Anniversary - 29th March 2026
10 years ago, Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony became an official charity. Hannah created her charity to help others — determined to fund vital research into osteosarcoma so that no one else would have to suffer the way she did, or her family.
At the same time, Hannah was ticking off her own bucket list. This inspired her to create "Willberry’s Wishes", as she knew how these made her feel — "Willberry's Wishes" are horsey wishes for seriously ill people and their families, making precious memories and lots of smiles, even in the toughest times.
Her legacy continues to inspire everything we do.
As we reflect on the past 10 years, we feel incredibly proud of all that has been achieved. Over the last decade, we have driven real progress in UK osteosarcoma research. Our strategy has focused on funding world-class science, turning discoveries into better diagnostics, improving treatments and, very importantly to Hannah, directly impacting patient benefit. We work closely with our scientific panel to support interdisciplinary partnerships, identify new research talent and build strong research networks across the UK. To date we have approved 14 major research projects, committing more than £1.17 million to osteosarcoma research.
At the same time, Willberry's Wishes has continued to bring joy in the most special way. Every Wish has been truly tailor-made, just as Hannah had planned. We are proud to have granted 98 magical Wishes (with more already in the making), helping create unforgettable memories and bringing horsey dreams to life.
