Apply For a Grant
FULLY-FUNDED PhD STUDENTSHIP
For the first time a "Follow on' fully funded PhD scholarship is being offered to encourage the UK’s best science graduates to pursue a career in the field of osteosarcoma. We are now accepting applications from their most successful past funded projects to continue to support, grow and invest in exceptional research which could ultimately cure osteosarcoma.
Whilst all previous team members are encouraged to be included in follow on fund applications Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony Charity expect to see substantial growth of the original project and team to include new expertise and skill sets e.g. clinical perspective or new technologies and projected impact of the follow on project including time lines. The previously funded project does not have to be completed to be eligible to apply as projects could be run in parallel.
Hannah’s Willberry Wonder Pony Charity (Charity Commission Number 1166416) was established by Hannah Francis, a hugely inspirational 18 year old who very sadly lost her life to osteosarcoma in 2016. Hannah’s wishes for the charity were that a large proportion of the money would go to support vital research into osteosarcoma, to improve the lives of people with this terrible disease in the future.
The trustees are now inviting applications from proposed supervisors for fully funded postgraduate studentships. Details of the Terms and Conditions for these studentships and an application form may be found by clicking on the links below. Due to funding regulations, applicants must be based in the UK.
This application is now closed and the successful applicant will be notified in May 2024. Thank you to everyone that has applied.
