The team and Willberry are always overwhelmed when we see what genius ideas you incredible people come up with to raise funds for our cause. Here's a little round up of some of the recent fundraising you guys have been up to:
Ever since Willberry heard that Charlotte and Vicky Wheeler donated £2000 from money raised at their Band in a Barn event he's been madly practicing his air guitar, a pony can have dreams hey!
Atherstone & District Ridng Club raised £1712 from all their hard working riders taking part in an eventathlon.
Margaret & Faye Denbeigh and Laura Paxton from Horseshoes Riding raised over £200 from their respective cake sales and coffee mornings, Willberry's summer bod has take a back seat for a little while....
Friend of Willberry, Jennifer Olivier, donated £1000 from her Rockstar Acadmeny. Jenny really is a rockstar as Willberry found out when he was delighted to award her with a wish, read about it here.
Buckets collections from Area Eventing, South Gloucester Show and Berkley Show raised over £500 with thanks to Ashford Valley Pony Club and Charlotte Trott for organising respectively.
Daisy Alban Jones has a whole heap of good karma coming her way as she donated £20 that she managed to find on the floor to our cause, Willberry feels very honoured!
Vet's have been the theme as Stables Equine Practice donated £275 from their Open Evening celebrating their 20th Anniversary.
Severn Group Young Farmers kindly donated £500 from a rally that they held.
Den Gudgin and his team at Tewin Hill Farm had a busy day at their Annual Charity Show. With showing, dressage, showjumping, Chase me Charlie and the ever popular BBQ there really was something for everyone, and owed much of it's success to the army of smiley volunteers. After such a great day over 80 people enjoyed a pig roast into the evening. All this hard work was worth every second as £4335 was raised from the day. Gee whizz.
As ever we send our uttermost thanks. Willberry couldn't even dream of #kickingcancersbutt without your continual and generous support.
Barbury Horse Trials in July really should have been renamed BarBERRY Horse Trials! Those little Berry ponies were everywhere.
One extra special pony there was Rockaberry, accompanying the amazing Jennifer Olivier whilst her Willberry Wish was granted. Jenny, her husband Tristan and their two horses arrived at the incredible Ladysmith Equestrian on the edge of the Barbury estate to be met by the incredibly kind and generous owners Rose and John. Once Rocco and Pico were settled, Jenny and Tristan had a chance to settle themselves (with thanks to the pool..) and recharge their batteries before Jenny’s lesson with a mystery instructor the next day...
In the morning Jenny and Rocco whizzed of to Barbury Horse Trials where she was met by none other than Emily King!
For a sneak insight into Jenny's lesson, or being a superwoman like her (Jenny only completed chemotherapy a few days before all this!), you can watch head cam footage here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoeVY2n07Ys If this wasn't enough the superhuman has also been back eventing, but not just that, she managed to get one of those red rosettes too!
Hannah wanted Willberry’s Wishes to give people a welcome distraction from the horror of treatment and make them feel ordinary… In Jenny's words, her time at Barbury didn't just make her feel ordinary it made her feel extraordinary.
Jenny is still #kickingcancersbutt and Rockaberry is firmly stuck by her side helping her through her radiotherapy. What an inspiring lady, Willberry is so glad he could help his friend Rockaberry give Jenny a smile or two.
Huge thank you to Benjamin Clark Photography for the gorgeous pictures!
Willberry is buzzing with pride that his best friends charity has been named Olympia's Charity of the Year. Who'd have thought it two years ago when he and Hannah had the best few days there, that fast forward 2 years their little ol' charity would be there with their names in lights. The whole team is so excited for what's to come.
The first bit of exciting news is that anybody who fancies watching a performance from a box who hasn't before will be donating 10% of their box package price to our charity. They are now on sale, so go on, what better excuse to spoil yourself.

11 year old Jemma Marlow was one of the first Willberry Wishes to be granted. Jemma was diagnosed with osteosarcoma earlier in the year and is yet another incredibly brave and inspirational individual. Like many others Jemma was an avid follower of Han and Willberry so a friend contacted us to ask if it would be possible to loan a berry pony to help put a smile on Jemma’s face and give her a much needed boost. Willberry felt Jemma really needed her own berry to help her through the gruelling rounds of treatment. “Spicaberry” as he is now known, has not left Jemma’s side since he arrived and has settled in to his role of nurse, companion and all round wonder pony with great success.Jemma recently had an endo prosthesis fitted to replace the cancerous bone and is having to learn how to walk again as well as finish her chemo. She is planning to get back on her pony Socs imminently and we all wish her the best of luck for the future and keep everything crossed she continues to #kickcancersbutt.
